James started his accounting career in 2002. He graduated with a finance degree from Kent State University and an MBA from Case Western Reserve's Weatherhead School of Management. He provides advisory, financial statement preparation, and income tax planning and preparation, He also does trust and estate accounts.
He resides in Chardon with his wife. He has two kids who both live in Ohio. He loves to travel with his wife, research his family genealogy, and just about any outdoor activity.
Barry has been with the company since inception, in 1973. He likes to talk with the clients to find out what they value in their financial lives, then teach his clients about financial education. He also likes to work with small businesses, individuals and trustees. He has a "common sense" approach to accounting and finance.
He has a wife and two kids, along with two grand kids. He loves to research investment products and company stocks. In his free time, he collects toy trains, take day hikes in the national parks, and collects southwestern art. You may also find Barry in museums.
Ali Palecek joined Ebert, Owen and Associates LLC in 2023. She has earned degrees in Accounting, Human Resources, and Business Management, much of her career has been in corporate finance in the private sector. Having exposure to multiple industries and a variety of software applications makes her experience a natural fit for assisting clients with small business solutions. Ali spends her free time volunteering and believes strongly in giving back to her community. She has been a member of the Lakeland Civic Band since 2001, serves as Treasurer for the West Geauga Band Boosters and is currently a Board member for the Painesville Credit Union. She also enjoys gardening and spending time with her husband, two children, and pets.
Carrie Reagh joined Ebert, Owen and Associates LLC in January 2024 as Office Manager. Having owned and operated small businesses herself, she understands the value that small firms offer to small businesses and how crucial accounting services are to business operations. Her creative entrepreneurial spirit makes her a great fit for the firm.
Carrie’s collaborative nature drives her to work to continuously improve firm processes and client experiences. In her free time, Carrie enjoys gardening, tackling hands on home projects, and spending time with family.
